This year, Halloween felt like a month long event. I decorated the house a few weeks ago and the boys have been wearing their costumes ever since they arrived in the mail. Last Friday, I hosted a Halloween party at my house and the final head count was 19 moms, 1 husband (it wasn't Paul) and 26 kids. I am still finding sticky finger prints all over my house. Today, Payson had a party at school which included dressing up and trick-or-treating to other classrooms. Then, Beckett and Irelyn went to a party at playgroup and Payson insisted on joining us after Paul picked him up from school. After nap time, we got the kids back into their costumes and headed out early to trick-or-treat, hoping that we would be back quick enough to pass out candy at our house. I definitely underestimated the quickness of three toddlers because it took forever. Finally, Paul headed home with Irelyn to start dinner while I took the boys to the rest of the houses on our street. Overall, it was a great day, week and month of celebrating Halloween, but I am super happy to see the decorations come down tomorrow.
