Halloween 2012...

This year, Halloween felt like a month long event. I decorated the house a few weeks ago and the boys have been wearing their costumes ever since they arrived in the mail. Last Friday, I hosted a Halloween party at my house and the final head count was 19 moms, 1 husband (it wasn't Paul) and 26 kids. I am still finding sticky finger prints all over my house. Today, Payson had a party at school which included dressing up and trick-or-treating to other classrooms. Then, Beckett and Irelyn went to a party at playgroup and Payson insisted on joining us after Paul picked him up from school. After nap time, we got the kids back into their costumes and headed out early to trick-or-treat, hoping that we would be back quick enough to pass out candy at our house. I definitely underestimated the quickness of three toddlers because it took forever. Finally, Paul headed home with Irelyn to start dinner while I took the boys to the rest of the houses on our street. Overall, it was a great day, week and month of celebrating Halloween, but I am super happy to see the decorations come down tomorrow.

Irelyn's first costume of the day.....a fairy!

Ready to trick-or-treat!

Payson as Batman.
Beckett as Captain Hook. Argh!
Irelyn as a skunk. Something a little
warmer to wear trick-or-treating.
Her butt says "lil stinker"!!!

The boys being silly.

Irelyn caught on very quickly!
The Frankenstein house. After driving
past it all week, the kids were dying to get
up close, but as soon as they walked up-
they changed their minds and stayed back.
Trick-or-treating at our own house.

Finally eating dinner at 6:45pm. They were starving.
Trick-or-treaters!!! We hardly had any, so
we have lots of leftover candy.

Sheridan & Brian's Visit...

Last week, Sheridan and Brian came all of the way from California to visit us. It is always nice to spend time with my little sister and my kids LOVE her. It was also nice to visit with Brian because we haven't seen him in a long time. Beckett especially took a liking to Brian, just like he does with Grandpa Tom and Grandpa Bryan. He was obsessed with sitting by him and holding his hand wherever we went. It was really cute to watch. Sheridan and Brian are newly engaged, so she asked me to take engagement pictures of them while they were here and they turned out beautiful. Unfortunately, it was a short trip and they were only here for three days. It was nice to finally have some family visitors see our new home.

Parc Safari & Pumpkin Patch...

Last weekend, I took the kids for one last trip to Parc Safari before they closed for the season. We had a great day feeding the animals and having lunch at the park. The following day, Paul and I took the kids to the pumpkin patch at Rulf's Orchard. It was a beautiful day and the kids had a great time picking out their own pumpkins.

I brought for the animals.

Love the faces she makes when
the animals get near her.

Irelyn and the giraffe.

Irelyn dropped her sippy cup
in the tiger cage. We didn't get it back.
Payson and Beckett riding the camel.
A special treat for them during our last trip.

I am still shocked they actually wanted to ride.
