Firsts...
The last week has flown by. I can't believe that Paul only has a few more days off, and then I am on my own. So far, Beckett is a much more content baby than Payson, but that may be because I actually have a good milk supply, and he isn't starving. I am trying to take as many pictures as I can because I don't want Beckett's milestones to be neglected like what happens to many second children. I am very glad that I designed Beckett's birth announcements and Payson's birthday party invitations over a month ago because there is no way I would have had time to design them now. They go out in the mail tomorrow.... I am so excited. Here are pictures of some of the "firsts" in Beckett's life...

Best Buddies...
Today I dressed Payson and Beckett in the same outfit. My friend, Angelie, also has the same outfit for her baby Josh, so, she came over, and we had a little photo shoot. It was so cute and funny to see them all together. Payson LOVED being able to sit with both babies. It is too bad that Angelie is moving away this week because we were really looking forward to our boys being friends.

Beckett's Birth...
After 17 hours of labor, Beckett Edward is finally here. I don't have time to tell my entire birth story now, but I will give a few details. I went into labor on Wednesday at 3:30pm, and my midwives arrived around 10:30pm. I was able to labor in the water for a few hours but spent the remainder of my labor on the bed. Moving around while contracting was too painful because Beckett descended very early, giving me the urge to push when I was dilated only 2cm. Luckily, I labored all night long while Payson slept, and Beckett was born at 8:35 Thursday morning just after Payson ate breakfast. Watching Payson meet his little brother was magical. I could not have reached my dream of a home birth VBAC without Paul and my midwives. Below are a few pictures from his birth. Click on the following link to see all of the pictures:
